Catherine got married to scientist David Shaw on May 15, 1976, and they divorced in 1981. She did her second marriage to Lawyer Peter Lopez on August 8, 1990, and they have two daughters Sophia Isabella Lopez and Laura Esmeralda Lopez. Peter died in 2010.
